I submitted a few of these comic panels to my school newspaper in the hopes of getting them published in SJSU’s Spartan Daily, and they said yes! Each ZOPS panel has a clever rhyme instilling various social redemption scenarios.
Got the cover of this popular Santa Clara Weekly Guide, Metro, A User’s Manual. Turned out to be a bitter-sweet experience due to them cropping out most of my splendid zop cover! However my spot illustration inside the guide came out awesome!
Some friends started up this short-lived local magazine guide. An ambitious endeavor for the time. I contributed some new ZOPS panels and also did an interview. The first ZOPS they published was about a foursome of Zops… basically about an orgy.
While I was going to SJSU a fellow student asked me if I would be interested in doing a series of themed spot illustration for his campus magazine called Access. So I said sure! These are the 6 resulting images I did, now called the Performanz Series.

I was hanging at this local coffee place and one of the employees decided to open his own coffee house in Soquel called The Ugly Mug. He enjoyed my art style and had me create his logo. I showed him about 6 sketches and this is the one he chose.
